The Network
A Bristol project supporting residents of Easton, Ashley and Lawrence Hill to take positive action in their neighbourhoods.
The Network team support people to organise a community event, start a regular group or activity or develop a shared campaign. Wellspring provides specialist Community Development workers supporting Roma, Somali and Eastern European Communities across Bristol.
Workers engage with individuals in the community who want to address particular social issues that impact the lives of people in their area. The Network team then help to develop community support around the issue and facilitate groups to do this, such as the Somali Women’s Health and Wellbeing group.
Staff co-produce family events, day trips and creative groups with community members to offer opportunities for people to come together, develop relationships and improve community ties.
Funded through Bristol City Council’s Impact Project, and run by four partners; Wellspring Healthy Living Centre, St Werburghs’ Community Farm, Somali Resource Centre and Barton Hill Settlement.
