Virtual Hub
Helping people stay active and connected safely.
The Virtual Hub is a new new three-month pilot project which will run three online classes each week, and will enable people, particularly those aged 65 or over, to continue with their usual activities, stay connected or try out something new while continuing to stay safe.
The activities on offer will be:
Qi Gong, a gentle, flowing exercise similar to Tai Chi, which will run on Monday mornings from 10am to 11am
Living with Chronic Pain, including exercises and guided mindfulness, running on Wednesday mornings from 10am to 11am
Singing for Wellbeing, especially beneficial for those with lung conditions such as COPD, which will be on Wednesdays from 2pm to 3pm.
All exercises in the classes can be adapted to either sitting or standing, depending on your ability and comfort. No equipment or previous experience is needed but you will need to have internet access at home and a device such as a laptop, iPad or smartphone with the free Zoom app download.
